Indian Graduate Student Association was formed in 2010 with a tri-mission agenda of Mentoring-Advocacy-Networking… to work towards professional and personal development of Indian Aggies at Texas A&M University. To elaborate,

IGSA aims to serve the Indian graduate students (current, former and future) and their families through:

  • Advocacy – to inform members about the university resources available for different situations, to lend a voice to the Indian graduate student body, and to promote member involvement at forums aimed towards university-level policy planning.
  • Networking – to offer a platform for students to develop a resourceful and engaging network base aimed towards benefiting members’ careers as well as personal lives.
  • Mentoring – to aide incoming Indian graduate students through the adaptation from Indian student life to graduate Aggie student life.
