Monday, September 28
This session will focus on using and teaching general ice breakers and moving towards activities that give more of an insight on who you are and how you operate.
Tuesday, September 29
This program will focus on how to enrich and enhance your student organization through development opportunties, including how to establish and manage your development accounts, and important guidelines for participating in development activities. The Student Affairs Development Office is part of the Texas A&M Foundation.
Study Abroad will offer information and insight into setting up an international experience for your sponsored organization.
This workshop will offer practical tips for balancing your work in your student organization with the rest of your life as an Aggie Leader.  Stress management techniques will be shared as well as information about campus resources.
Do you know How Much? , how much is binge drinking? how much will drinking cost you? how much do you know about drinking responsibly? Let's debunk some alcohol myths and give you some alcohol facts so you and your organization can know how to celebrate responsibly.
Wednesday, September 30
Learn how to grow and develop your organization using your structure, recruiting process, member development, campus involvement.
Have you ever been a part of an organization that continues to reflect negative attitudes? This session will provide statistics about how negativity can impact organizations. Discover how your personal attitude affects your organization. Can your positive attitude spill into the lives of others? Through this interactive session, we will introduce you to the Dipper and Philosophy and help you to apply the philosophy to student organization related components such as meetings, member recognition, delegation, and personal balance. You will leave this workshop equipped with an action plan that will help you make a positive impact!
This session will help student leaders understand the necessities of globalization. Students at Texas A&M University at one point in their life will have to communicate with people from around the world. Whether future leaders will stay in Texas or travel overseas, they need to learn to feel comfortable, patient, and understanding of citizens of other countries.
Laying the foundation for success is a theme that can apply to all organizations, but the way in which each organization goes about achieving success is different from the next. This session will focus on various factors that SBSLC has found to be important in achieving success. We will talk about focusing on the target audience's needs, being attentive to the staff, setting attainable goals, and committing to accomplishing set goals.
Thursday, October 1
The bead activity is geared primarily towards student leaders to help them address organization concerns about recruiting for a diverse membership.
This session will focus on identifying reputational risk associated with high profile organizations on campus, and steps that your organization can take to alleviate the impacts of these risks on your organization. The Ross Volunteers serve not only Texas A&M, but also the State of Texas, and will discuss how their organization has effectively mananged this aspect of their organization.
All you ever wanted to know about what your advisors may be thinking! Learn about what the role of the advisor is and how you can work together to create an empowering environment for your student organization.
Closing Keynote Dinner
Please Note: At least two officers are REQUIRED to attend the Closing Keynote Dinner on Thursday, Oct. 1 from 5:30-7:00 in Koldus 110/111.
