Aggie Leader Scholarship Applications Now Available

Scholarships and Financial Aid along with the Southerland Aggie Leader Scholarship Selection Committee are pleased to announce that the 2008-2009 applications are now available for students to submit. 

The Southerland Aggie Leader Scholarship program was created to recognize and reward student involvement at Texas A&M University.  Student leaders are dedicated to Texas A&M and are an important element in the success of our campus.  Unlike most scholarships, the primary criteria in the decision process will be leadership and involvement.  This scholarship reflects Texas A&M University’s commitment to learning, leadership, and service both in and out of the classroom.

"I cannot express enough how much of a help it is to support college students like me with the help of the J. Southerland Aggie Leader Scholarship.  The financial support has allowed me to devote my time to my schoolwork and extracurricular activities instead of working long hours at minimum wage to pay my tuition. Knowing that I have the support of my university family is very encouraging," states Blayne Thompson, 2007 recipient.

These scholarships are limited to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students who will have completed one long semester at Texas A & M at the time of application.  Each recipient will receive up to $1,000 for the 2008-2009 academic year.
