Strengths Round 2
So you've already taken StrengthsQuest...now what?
Strengths Round 2 is a series of workshops designed to offer students who have already completed an initial Strengths session additional opportunities to learn more about their personal themes in fun and interactive ways. Through conversations about pop culture, gender, multiculturalism, and more, you’ll be able to use your knowledge of StrengthsQuest in new and different ways.
Fall 2009 Workshops
- Strengths and Teams –This workshop is designed for the student leader or group project coordinator who would like to better utilize Strengths with his or her exec or academic team. From this workshop, you’ll be given multiple additional activities to take back to your organizations to help keep Strengths as a tool to be used week to week, instead of just at the beginning of the semester.
- Strengths and Pop Culture – “The One Where We Talk About Strengths”. This workshop is designed to help students learn to better identify strengths in themselves and others using the popular TV show Friends.
- Strengths and Gender – Are there such things as “girly” strengths or “manly” strengths? And, if so, what does it mean for you? In this workshop we will discuss gender dynamics and how to be the best you can be based on your personal talents, regardless of gender stipulations.
- Strengths in a Multicultural World – How do the characteristics valued by different cultures impact how people embrace and understand their strengths? Come discuss StrengthsQuest through the lens of culture, and walk away with a new understanding of your own perspectives.
