StrengthsQuest
The mission of the StrengthsQuestTM program at Texas A&M is to facilitate participants achievement of academic, career, and personal success through identification, development, and utilization of their top five strengths. To that end we facilitate sessions with all sizes and types of groups, including student organizations, academic classes, and with staff that work directly with students.
Introduction to Strengths
Students take the Clifton StrengthsFinder inventory to learn their five strongest talents. Knowledge of these talents allows students to learn how best to lead themselves in order to be prepared to lead others. Through learning more about their natural strengths, students learn how to become more effective leaders. StrengthsQuest has been successfully integrated into curricula across campus, ranging from classes in the College of Agriculture to the Mays Business School.
Strengths Round 2
Strengths Round 2 is a series of workshops designed to offer students who have already completed an initial Strengths session additional opportunities to learn more about their personal themes in fun and interactive ways. Through conversations about pop culture, careers, multiculturalism, and more, you will be able to use your knowledge of StrengthsQuest in new and different ways.
Our Workshops Include
- Strengths and Careers
- How can you best utilize your knowledge of your Strengths when job searching? This workshop will help students learn how to use their strengths to put their best foot forward in the interviewing process.
- Strengths and Pop Culture
- This workshop is designed to help students learn to better identify strengths in themselves and others using a popular TV show. Previously these shows have included Friends and West Wing.
- Strengths in a Multicultural World
