Community Agencies

Community Agency Services and Resources

The Leadership and Service Center promotes active citizenship in a student-focused environment through programs and resources that advocate awareness of social issues and foster discussion, reflection and action. Partnership with community agencies is essential for fulfilling our mission and goals.

AGGIESERVE

AggieServe is an online outreach project established to bring non-profit organizations and community agencies in the Bryan and College Station area together with campus volunteers. This online database currently contains 175 community agency profiles and 75 short-term or ongoing volunteer opportunities. Individual students as well as student groups use AggieServe to search for volunteer opportunities. In the Spring 2007 semester, AggieServe received 12,700 hits for viewing agency profiles and opportunities.

COMMUNITY AGENCY BREAKFAST

The Community Agency Breakfast occurs during the fall semester. This is an opportunity for representatives from various community agencies to network with other agencies from across the Brazos Valley, meet members of the Leadership and Service team, and learn more about the services and resources offered.
