Benefits of Involvement 

There are many valuable benefits of involvement at Texas A&M University. By becoming involved, students can mature personally, culturally, socially, spiritually and academically. Texas A&M has more than 800 recognized student organizations, and there are a myriad of other ways to become involved in campus life.

Here is a list of some of the benefits of being involved:

  • Learning leadership skills
  • Learning how to maximize natural strengths and abilities
  • Learning how to manage finances
  • Developing healthy relationships
  • Time management skills

Ways to Get Involved!

OrgMatch 

OrgMatch is an on-line tool that students can use to identify various organizations that match their interests. Click here in order to log-in with your NetID and password. After logging in, fill out the questionnaire, and you will receive a list of organizations that match your interests as well as the contact information for those groups.

Take advantage of OrgMatch! There are many student organizations that are looking for great members like you! If you have any questions about OrgMatch, please contact the Department of Student Activities at 979.845.1133.

Crisis Intervention Services for Students During the Break are as follows:

Thursday, May 14 through Sunday, May 31, 2009
During Business Hours (Monday-Friday 8 AM to 5 PM) - Send students to the Student Counseling Service in Cain Hall.
After Hours and on Weekends - Send students to the nearest hospital emergency room or call MHMR at 822-6467.

Registration for MSCC Fall Open House is now open.  The registration process begins at http://mscopenhouse.tamu.edu

Student organizations can click on "Register" to begin the process.  Our move to the Rec Center while the MSC is being renovated is resulting in some modest additional costs, so we’ve had to increase the regular registration fee to $45 and the early bird registration price to $40.  The deadline for the early bird fee is August 7th, 2009.  Organizations m

Looking for a mentor? Just need someone to talk to? Keep an eye out for ATMentors all across campus. ATMentors are TAMU faculty, staff, and administrators who volunteer extra office hours to make themselves available to students who just want to talk to someone.
