Fish Council – Fish
Council is a Freshman Leadership Organization that strives to unite the
freshman class as well as assist members with the transition to college life,
leadership development, and involvement in traditional programs.

Conversations
– conversations promotes the intellectual climate of TexasA&MUniversity through open
discussion among students and professors in a relaxed setting. Participants are invited on a monthly basis
to attend an on-campus lunch or dinner, free of charge. Faculty and students are encouraged to share
ideas, experiences, and opinions about a number of topics that will enhance the
classroom experience and scholarly community of Texas A&M.

Fish Fest – Fish Fest is the official class event for the Freshman
Class, which takes palce in the fall semester and focuses on building unity and
excitement among class members. Fish
Fest offers something new each year, but in the past has featured outdoor
movies, live bands, and free food.

Pull-Out Day – Pull-out day is a sophomore class event that takes
place each spring at Olsen Field. The
sophomore class is invited to a designated baseball game to “pull out” or pull
rank on the Junior Class. A tailgate
with food and music happens pre-game, and free admission to the game is given
to students wearing their class shirt.
Many activities during the game are reserved for members of the
sophomore class, such as throwing out the opening pitch, replacing the bases
between innings, and free popcorn.

Silver Taps Remembrance - This program is a vehicle for the Class of
1998’s Senior Class Gift, which was an endowment to commemorate the 100th
Anniversary of Silver Taps. Benjamin
Knox, a local artist, was commissioned for an official Silver Taps print, which
is personalized and delivered each month to the families of those honored at
Silver Taps.
