Choral ActivitiesIf you have a passion for singing and performing, then Texas A&M Choral Activities has a place for you! There is a long and proud tradition of choral music at Texas A&M University. Choral Activities groups have been in existence at Texas A&M since 1893, beginning with the Texas A&M Glee Club (now the Singing Cadets). Today we are proud to support four primary performing groups including the Century Singers, the Reveliers, the Singing Cadets and the Women’s Chorus. Each group offers a unique musical experience for performers and brings a unique style to performances. The purpose of Texas A&M Choral Activities is to provide both undergraduate and graduate students with choral music experiences and leadership opportunities. Students involved in our groups not only enhance personal musicianship, but also enrich their entire academic experience. While two full-time directors provide exceptional musical leadership to these diverse groups, student leadership is also an essential element of our department. Each group is a recognized student organization and provides students the opportunity to develop critical leadership skills as well as form lasting friendships. Designed to encourage interaction between students and staff members, our facilities house a rehearsal room as well as offices for both directors and each choral group. Choral Activities groups are open to all Texas A&M students. Auditions are held at the beginning of both the fall and spring semesters.
