Building Young Leaders Together (BYLT) is looking for fellow on-campus Aggies to be HOST's for our upcoming High School Leadership Conference(HSLC). The only obligation of being a HOST is to allow two high school students to sleep on the floor in your residence hall room for the weekend.

This retreat on Saturday, October 24th is designed to engage our key student leaders interested in making their organizations more inclusive. Diversity education specialists, corporate representatives, and student facilitators from the Aggies to Aggies (A2A) diversity educators will engage participants in discussions about the importance of managing diversity in the workplace.

United Way has created a Day of Action on November 14, 2009. During this event, we will pair organizations with our partner agencies to perform volunteer tasks. Almost like a small scale Big Event, however, we would be able to specifically match the agencies based on their cause. For example, the psychology Club has expressed interest in volunteering through United Way, with MHMR (Mental Health and Mental Retardation) Center of the Brazos Valley.

A bus will pick you up at:

A&M United Methodist Church Parking Lot at 2:00 and 3:30

University Apartments Community Center at 2:10 and 3:40

Fish Pond, on campus across from Sbisa, at 2:45 and 3:45

University Catering would like to help you fundraise for your student organization! Several events take place where Catering must have more than 20 servers working. This is where you come in. A student group can come in for some of these larger events and we will pay each one of the group’s members $7.50 an hour for as many hours as they work for us and we will then put the money into your group’s account.

FALCon, Freshman Advancing Leadership Conference, is a one day conference for all freshman at Texas A&M University. Our goal is to allow the future leaders of our campus the opportunity to learn and transition into collegiate leaders. This year’s theme is "Leaders Under Construction." The conference will be held on Saturday, October 24th from 10am-4pm in Rudder 301.  To register, please go to the MSC Box Office.  FALCon is only $12!
