Fish Camp Namesake Nominations Due December 14
Fish Camp 2008 encourages you to nominate a Fish Camp Namesake whom you feel should be honored and respected for impacting Texas A&M University in a positive way.
Namesakes will have the opportunity to interact with counselors during the year and incoming freshmen at camp. A Namesake as the great honor of being both a support and a resource for the counselors and the freshmen.
Part-Time Job Opportunity
The Department of Student Activities has an immediate opening for a part-time position (10-20 hrs/week, M-F) working with the Texas A&M Official All-University Calendar. The job responsibilities include (a) selling advertisements to university departments and local businesses, (b) entering dates into the calendar template in Adobe InDesign, and (c) editing information, advertisements, etc. in the InDesign template.

The Department of Student Activities’ Toys for Tots Collection Drive is underway!
Collection boxes are located in the Vice President of Student Affairs Office, the Department of Student Activities, and the Student Government Association office.

MSC Spring Open House: Sunday, January 27 2:00 - 5:00pm
Don’t miss A&M’s largest student organization recruiting event! Hundreds of student organizations will be hosting tables to attract new members. All students are welcome to get involved or just come to scout the tables on January 27th from 2-5 p.m.
Open House tables cost $25. Groups must be recognized student organizations to purchase a table, and must purchase the table in person at the MSC Box Office. There will be a form to fill out prior to purchasing the table.
Howdy Camp 2008: January 11-13
Are you a freshman who was unable to go to Fish Camp? Do you still wish you could have a camp experience? Howdy Camp is for incoming Aggies in the Spring, and for students who did not have a camp experience in the summer.
Margaret Rudder Community Service Award - Applications Due Friday, Mar. 7
The Margaret Rudder Community Service Award seeks to recognize and award those who significantly impact their community and, as a result, are themselves impacted by that contribution.
Awards of up to $500 will be presented on April 13, 2008 at the Parents’ Weekend All-University Awards Ceremony. Faculty, staff, and students may nominate a student to apply, or a student may apply individually.

The Buck Weirus Spirit Award
The Buck Weirus Spirit Award honors up to 55 students who demonstrate high involvement, create positive experiences throughout the Aggie community, impact student life at Texas A&M and help enhance the Aggie Spirit. Unlike other awards, the Buck Weirus Spirit Award recognizes those students who make contributions to the university by participating in student organizations, Aggie traditions and university events.
