About IT

The Student Activities Information Technology team builds and maintains several web sites and applications for the department:

• StuAct Online (this site), the department's flagship web application, responsible for providing basic departmental information and managing the organization recognition process, sign-up for departmental events, and processing departmental forms.
• AggieServe, a volunteer opportunities directory managed by the department's Leadership & Service Center.
• The registration systems for Fish Camp, The Big Event, COSGA, and the Freshman Leadership Organization matching program, FLOverlap.

Our team also manages the free hosting services provided by the department to all recognized student organizations. Currently, over 600 student organizations are hosted on our servers.

We collaborate extensively with the Department of Information Technology, who provides server administration, hardware, networking, and software support for our department.

We Make Web Sites Easy with Drupal

If you're looking for a simple, user-friendly way to build and maintain your student organization's web site, our department now offers the Drupal content management system to all recognized student organizations. With Drupal, your organization starts with an A&M-themed template and is immediately ready to start creating content. All the work of setting up and managing your web site can be done directly through your web site. No extra software or web development experience is required.

If your organization would like to use Drupal, you can request it directly from your StuAct Online profile by visiting the "Web/E-mail" tab for the organization.
